London – 15 March 2018: Axiom Alternative Investments, the French asset manager with EUR 1.2bn under management and offices in London and Paris, today announces the appointment of Paul Gagey as a Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing Axiom’s flagship fund, Axiom Obligataire.

Reinforcing Axiom’s management team at a time of strong growth at the company, Paul joins from Aviva Investors where he was Director of High Yield Bond funds and managed several open-ended funds from 2006 to 2017.

Over the past 35 years, Paul has worked at leading financial institutions across Europe, starting his career at Barclays Bank in 1983. Since then, he has held senior positions at Sorema, where he was Chief Investment Officer, at Groupama Asset Management as Head of its Credit Department, and at Caisse des Dépôts (2002-2005) where he managed its French “Wealth Fund”, investing in European equities with a long-term view.

A graduate of Columbia University, Paul holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and has more than 15 trophies and awards to his name from major institutions, including Agéfi, Morningstar and Citywire. In 2015, he received the Lipper Award for 10 years in European bond management.
